Stirrup Sizing Guide
A stirrup that fits your boot gives your foot a secure, supported base in the saddle. Tread width should match your boot size. Stirrup size guide: tread width by boot size
Stirrup tread width should match your boot size, so your foot is secure and well supported in the stirrup. The chart below uses continental (EU) boot sizing. If you are unsure of your EU size, check the label inside your riding boot, which usually shows the EU size alongside the UK size.

A wider tread gives a beginner more room to find a secure foot position. The tread surface should also give good grip, since this matters most for a less experienced rider.
A solid rubber insert gives a cushioned, grippy feel. A non-slip stainless steel insert grips better in wet conditions. Check the product page for which insert fits which stirrup before you buy a replacement.
