It fastens with a buckle underneath, covered in soft leather to avoid direct pressure on the jaw. The flash strap holder is sewn on and the flash strap is completely removable, so you can ride with it or take it off as your horse needs.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe headpiece has an air channel over the poll and the highest part of the neck, giving maximum freedom to the neck's sensitive nerve pathways, muscle attachments and ligaments. The edges are built-up and softly padded, with anatomical shaping around the ears, and a cut-out at the top distributes pressure evenly over the headpiece.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe cheekpieces are designed to reduce pressure from the neck through PS of Sweden's elastic Cradles™. A Cradle is an extra elastic band that the bit rests on, located in the cheekpieces at the bit and on PS of Sweden reins. The idea is that the elastic acts to give the horse more comfort by allowing the bit to bounce, which should relieve the teeth and jaws of static pressure. Many believe that horses prefer this type of bridle and that it can be gentler and more horse-friendly than regular bridles and reins. The Cradles are sewn in place, making it more suitable for show jumping and eventing, and it can also be used for dressage at home. French hooks make it easy to switch bits as needed.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe browband is softly padded on the inside to avoid rubbing and has a U-shaped design that keeps pressure off the horse's forehead and eye socket.
