The PS of Sweden Stockholm Bridle is a snaffle bridle with a classical look and a removable flash strap. The classic Aachen noseband is well padded for maximum comfort, with white decorative stitching and a super soft pillow that reduces pressure and enables a closer, optimised fit around the nose. It fastens with a buckle underneath, covered in soft leather to avoid direct pressure on the jaw and potential chafing. The flash strap holder is sewn on and the flash strap is completely removable, so you can ride with it or take it off as your horse needs.
The headpiece has an air channel over the mane and the highest point of the neck, giving maximum freedom to the neck's sensitive nerve pathways, muscle attachments and ligaments. The edges are built-up and softly padded, with an anatomical shape around the ears, and a round cut-out at the top distributes pressure evenly across the headpiece.
The cheekpieces are developed to reduce pressure from the neck via PS of Sweden's elastic Cradles™. A Cradle is an extra elastic band on which the bit rests, located in the cheekpieces at the bit and on PS of Sweden reins. The idea is that they act elastically and give the horse more comfort by allowing the bit to bounce, which should then relieve the teeth and tongue of static pressure. Many believe that horses prefer this type of bridle and that it can be gentler and more horse-friendly than traditional bridles and reins. The Cradles are sewn on, making them more suitable for jumping and eventing, and they are just as good for dressage at home. French hooks make it easy to change the bit as needed.
The browband has a U-shaped design to avoid pressure on the horse's forehead and eye area, and rubber on the inside of the buckle keeps it in place during the ride. The Click-It™ function makes it easy to remove and change the browband as needed, even when the horse is wearing the bridle. The browband has a convex PS of Sweden button with an extra sturdy clasp that keeps it in place and shapes the leather backward and down.
Recommended for horses that are stable in riding, prefer a classic Aachen noseband, may need the support of a flash strap, and are younger or inexperienced and need a comfortable first noseband. Reins are sold separately.
