PS of Sweden Double Bridle Paragon - Brown

The PS of Sweden Paragon Double Bridle is the popular Jump Off bridle redesigned by PS of Sweden together with dressage rider Nina Hofmann into a clean and functional double bridle. Its noseband is designed to increase the horse's mouth freedom, and its shape allows even the most sensitive horse to relax and seek contact as pressure is minimised on all sensitive areas.

The curved design of the noseband is adapted to avoid pressure on the jawbones and the sensitive nerves on the horse's head. The pullback strap is tightened higher up than on a traditional bridle, which keeps pressure off the teeth, minimises tooth-related injuries and makes the bridle recommended for horses with previous bit-related injuries or sensitive gums. The pullback strap has an extra wide, padded and soft plate to promote the horse's comfort, and the strap is reinforced with nylon to prevent the leather from stretching. The noseband is softly padded and measures approximately 4.5 cm.

The area behind the ears is very sensitive, with many nerves and ligaments, so the headpiece is extra wide to ease pressure from the bridle. A cut-out above distributes the pressure evenly, and the headpiece is cut to allow room for the horse's ears, all for the highest possible comfort.

The cheekpieces are developed to reduce pressure from the neck via PS of Sweden's elastic Cradles™. A Cradle is an extra elastic band that the bit should rest on, located partly in the cheekpieces at the bit and on PS of Sweden reins. The idea is that they act elastically and give the horse more comfort by allowing the bit to spring, which should then relieve the teeth and jaws of static pressure. Many believe that horses thrive better with this type of bridle and that it can be gentler and more horse-friendly than regular bridles and reins. The cheekpieces are rounded and also have optional Cradles with French hooks in gunmetal colour, which are easy to disconnect when entering the dressage arena.

The browband is rounded and completely mouldable. It arrives straight, so you can bend it yourself and change the shape for an optimal fit. A rubberized inside called anti-slip should keep it up, and the Click-It™ function makes it easy to remove and replace the browband as needed, even when the horse is wearing the bridle.

The bridle works for all disciplines and is approved by the FEI when a throatlatch is added, for both horses and ponies. PS of Sweden recommends checking with your local equestrian authorities for detailed information in your country. For dressage competitions, buy a throatlatch, attach it to the browband and disconnect the elastic Cradles™. A compatible throatlatch model is Flat w/ Rolled Stitched. Recommended for horses that are very sensitive to pressure, have difficulty relaxing and getting to work, have difficulty taking support on the bit, have previous bit or tooth-related injuries, can become strong at times, and are extra sensitive around the jaw. It comes with a PS of Sweden bridle bag. Reins are sold separately.
