The PS of Sweden Antwerp 2.0 Bridle is a handmade snaffle bridle with a classical look. It has a classic Aachen noseband with silver-coloured clinchers on top, and matching clinchers on the browband.
The noseband is softly padded on the inside and fastens with a buckle underneath, covered in soft leather to protect the jaw from direct pressure. The flash strap holder is sewn on and the flash strap is completely removable, so you can ride with it or take it off as your horse needs.
The headpiece has an air channel over the poll and the highest part of the neck, giving maximum freedom to the neck's sensitive nerve pathways, muscle attachments and ligaments. The edges are built-up and softly padded, with anatomical shaping around the ears, and a cut-out at the top spreads pressure evenly over the whole headpiece.
The cheekpieces are designed to reduce pressure from the neck through PS of Sweden's elastic Cradles™. A Cradle is an extra elastic band that the bit rests on, located in the cheekpieces at the bit and on PS of Sweden reins. The elastic is designed to let the bit move, to help relieve the teeth and jaws of static pressure, and it helps to further relieve pressure on the poll. Many believe horses prefer this type of bridle and that it can be gentler and more horse-friendly than regular bridles and reins.
On this bridle the Cradles are solid and sewn in place, making it more suitable for show jumping and eventing, and it can also be used for dressage at home. French hooks make it easy to switch bits as needed.
The browband is softly padded on the inside to avoid rubbing and has a U-shaped design that keeps pressure off the horse's forehead and eye socket. Rubber on the inside keeps it in place even in the toughest conditions.
Recommended for horses that are stable under saddle, that prefer a classic Aachen noseband, that may need the support of a flash strap, and that are young or inexperienced and need a comfortable first noseband. Reins are sold separately.
